PA Diversity Network Executive Director Liz Bradbury and
Board President Patricia Sullivan were invited by the staff
of Senator Robert Casey's office to join 27 other GLBT
activists at a GLBT Civil Rights and Issues Forum in the
Dirksen Center of the Capitol in Washington DC, on December
17. PDN Executive Director Liz Bradbury was also asked to
help arrange for some GLBT families with children who are
involved with GLBT issues to attend this event as well. So
PDN Board members Earl and Donnie Snyder, who are leaders
of the PDN Rainbow Families group and who write the monthly
column Planet Parenthood in the PDN's Valley Gay Press
Newspaper, and Dr. Elizabeth Goff, who began the Planet
Parenthood Column in 1998, and wrote the column for several
years, along with her daughters Willow and Emily Goff, also
attended this historic set of events.
Participants in the forum were also invited to special VIP
Tours of the Capitol and the White House. The White House
especially asked that GLBT families with children be part
of the VIP Holiday White House tour, that evening.
