PA
Diversity Network is proud to have participated in the
Reading Pride Festival on July 15, 2007. The festival was
attended by over 1500 people. There were over 50 vendor and
community organization booths and a stage with full time
entertainment, including a wedding ceremony for committed
couples performance by Rev. Beth Goudy of MCCLV. Speakers
from the stage included the Mayor of Reading, Steve
Glassman openly gay Chair of the Pennsylvania State Human
Relations Commission, Liz Bradbury Vice Chair of
Allentown's Human Relations Commission and Exec. Dir. of PA
Diversity Network, and Dan Anders newly appointed and
confirmed Judge in Philadelphia (the first openly gay judge
appointed in PA.)
See the list of all speakers, vendors and entertainment
that participated in the festival below.

At our PA Diversity Network / Valley Gay Press booth we:
Took 34 new pictures of committed same-sex couples for the
PA Diversity Network Photo Project - 150 Same-sex Couples
Facing Inequality.
(See some of the unformatted color pictures of the couples
by clicking the link above.)
We handed out over 500 Valley Gay Presses with extra
Reading Pride Festival pages.
And we encouraged over 300 people to write their state
Representatives and State Senators to support equal civil
rights in employment, housing and public accommodations for
all people based on sexual orientation and gender identity
in Pennsylvania.
We met 100s of GLBTA people. And we had a great time!!!
