The AIDS Activities Office provides comprehensive medical and social services for HIV/AIDS infected persons. We are the only site in the Lehigh Valley to have access to the OraQuick Advance Rapid HIV test. This test provides preliminary results in only 20 minutes.

LEHIGH VALLEY, PA: "FACT LV ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD AND BUDGET FOR 2007"
In this time of declining contribution to all charities, Fighting AIDS Continuously Together Lehigh Valley has stepped up to the plate and announced an ambitious plan for 2007, its 22nd year of work. This is the 25th year of the AIDS crisis and there is a rise in the African-American as well as Latino cases of HIV. Together with the "manageable" phenomenon where HIV positive patients are living longer due to advances in healthcare treatments; all this is increasing the number of cases and thus taxing the existing system of Federal funding, charitable donations, and service agencies leaving prevention and education on the back burner in many instances.
FACT Lehigh Valley is the only non-profit all volunteer organization serving the HIV / AIDS community in the greater Lehigh Valley, oft times encompassing the Poconos and Berks. This year's proposed budget of over $100,000 is raised solely from contributions from members, corporate donation, grants and fund-raising events. Fundraising has become more competitive with more and more charities vying for the same funds. Events planned for the 2007 include the 22nd Annual Summer Games in September and 15th Annual AIDSWALK Lehigh Valley the first Sunday of October.
FACT Lehigh Valley has announced its new executive committee and Board of Directors members. This year's President is Carl Mancino, Vice-President is Brian Marks, Secretary is Eleana Belletieri, and Treasurer is Bryon Reynolds. New to the Board are Dan Friedman, Robert Burton and Joseph Mannino. F.A.C.T. was founded in 1986 by a group of concerned citizens living in the Lehigh Valley in response to the AIDS crisis. In 21 years, F.A.C.T., an all-volunteer organization has raised over $2,000,000 to use as contingency funds used as needed for monthly assistance including heat, electricity, housing, medication, eyewear, dental, food, emergency services and funerals assuring a dignified quality of life for those infected and affected by HIV and AIDS.
